Things begin to go wrong with the Kandorians on Earth in the Robinson, Guedes and Magalhaes tale in Superman 682 (Jan. Bizarro has come to Earth as well, to pay his respects to Pa Kent, who he grew close to in the Escape from Bizarro World story arc the previous year. Agent Liberty meets with the President and requests a leave of absence, to investigate the manipulations he believes are taking place with the Kandorians. After the attack by Doomsday and murder of Zor-El by Reactron, the Kandorians decide to get rid of as many threats to Kryptonians as they can.
Commander Gor leads the group who go to take the Parasite. Virtual 3d home design. They wind up in a fight with prison guards, and kill them to get the villain. Jim Harper, the Guardian, gets called back to Action by Control, and joins the Science Police. Atlas is back as well, but taking things quietly, having a coffee and mulling the situation. Throughout the issue we see the Kandorians going after various Superman villains.
On the final page, we see that the Parasite, Bizarro, the Toyman, the Prankster and Silver Banshee have all been sent into the Phantom Zone. Mon-El is none too pleased.
The story continues in the next issue of Action. As the cover of Adventures of Superman 645 (Dec. 05) proclaims, the issue leads in to Infinite Crisis, and takes a few less artists to do so.
Rucka is joined by Defilippis, Weir, Guedes, Kershl and Faucher. The Daily Planet staff are shown, watching the endless loop of Wonder Woman killing Maxwell Lord. The discussions that Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Ron Troupe and Clark Kent have about how to interpret the out of context material help to convey the attitudes of the people across the world seeing it. The skies of Metropolis fill with OMACs.
They aren’t taking action, just “protecting,” and making no one feel safe. While Luthor, with Mercy and the female Parasite at his side plots with both the Secret Six and Ruin. No wonder he’s getting headaches. Emil Hamilton visits Lupe Leocado, having deduced where Ruin must have his power supply. She heads out, although we do not see her again this issue.
Luthor draws out Superman for Ruin, in a broad daylight confrontation. Superman figures out that Ruin’s teleportation is physically draining him, and that he must be using Phantom Zone technology. But before he can unmask Ruin, he gets teleported away. Superman winds up at the Moon, and the wreckage that used to be the Justice League Watchtower.
Infinite Crisis 1 picks up from this point. Superman turns to Zatanna for help in Adventures of Superman 644 (Nov. 05), by far too many people.
Rucka, Nunzio Defilippis, Christina Weir, Darryl Banks, Karl Kerschl, Adam DeKraker, Wayne Faucher, Cam Smith and Robin Riggs are the creative team on this issue. Or a baseball team. Superman worries about what programming might still be left in his head, and visits Zatanna. He wants her to use her magic to check his brain out, and fix anything that might be wrong. Zatanna is not happy about the request, and insists that she cannot and will not do those things anymore.
They both wind up getting involved in the Toyman’s latest child kidnapping, and we find out that Zatanna tries to fix the Toyman as well. We see the result, that his own perceptions of himself and reality bear little resemblance to what is really going on. Zatanna casts a spell that breaks through this, making the Toyman understand his actions, which pretty much shatters the guy.
The story ends as Luthor and Mercy find the female Parasite from the twins, having survived by hiding in the sewers. The story continues in the next issue. Adventures of Superman 641 (Aug.
05) is mostly a continuation of the Ruin storyline, although, as the cover proclaims, it also ties in to the current OMAC Project miniseries. Rucka and Kerschl are the creative team.

Lupe Leocado has Pete Ross in for questioning. He denies being Ruin, which Leocado has no time, and roughs him up.
Clark comes to question Pete as well. He is more convinced about Pete’s innocence, not in the least because Pete lets Clark know that he knows his secret identity. Lois Lane has clearly adjusted to the role of Mrs. Superman, as she contacts Batman for information as part of her investigation into her shooting. Emil Hamilton examines Ruin’s costume and weaponry, and expresses his doubts that Pete Ross could have created it. Then the action begins, as the Parasites break out of their cells, and the energy drain affects other cells, leading to a riot in the prison.
An OMAC appears, and targets the Parasite twins, killing them. Basic econometrics gujarati pdf. But once the hubbub has died down, they see that Pete Ross has vanished from his cell. Rucka, Rags Morales and John Dell III bring the events of Identity Crisis into the storyline in Adventures of Superman 636 (March 2005), as Superman meets with Batman and Wonder Woman.
Superman does manage to find and confront Ruin, but as he removes the villain’s mask, Ruin teleports away. Batman and Wonder Woman come to meet with Superman as his tesseract Fortress. Superman tells them both about Ruin, and how he knows how to cut off Superman’s powers temporarily, and is gunning for all of his friends. The discussion about how to deal with him winds up leading to a discussion about the mind-wiping of Dr. As Wonder Woman (blinded after her recent fight with Medusa in her own book) was not part of the Justice League at that time, they recap the situation for her. As this is going on, we see Lupe Leocado bringing Emil Hamilton to examine the Parasite twins.
Pete Ross pays a visit to Lois Lane. He tells her that Lana Lang has filed for divorce, and doubts that she ever loved him.
Wonder Woman insists that Superman has no choice but to kill Ruin, in order to save those close to him. Batman does not agree, but does suggest to Superman that Ruin is most likely Luthor. Astonishingly, Batman is wrong. Though as the issue ends, we see that Ruin and Luthor are working together. The story continues in the next issue. The battle with the Parasite twins reaches its conclusion in the Rucka, Clark and Lanning story in Adventures of Superman 635 (Feb.
Superman heads to see John Henry Irons, and borrows a modified Steel outfit, one that encases him completely. This prevents the Parasites from drawing any more energy off of him. The issue is pretty much one long battle scene, which lasts until the power the twins have stolen from Superman wears off.
Superman turns the twins over to Lupe Leocardo and the SCU, and heads off to find Ruin. The story continues in the next issue.
Mxyzptlk butts in again as the Parasite twins go after the Lane sisters in Adventures of Superman 634 (Jan. 05), by Rucka, Clark and Lanning. Mxyzptlk has decided to play the hero, donning a Superman-style costume as he comes to fight the Parasites.
But he not only gets in the way, but even winds up accidentally shoving Superman into one of the Parasites. These Parasites are able to share the power they steal with each other. And we discover that their true goal in attacking Lois Lane was simply to draw out Superman, and absorb from him his secret identity.
Mxyzptlk makes up for his mistake, taking out the purple Parasite, the more villainous of the twins. The boy, the green one, wants Mxyzptlk ti use his magic to turn them back into who they were, but this is not possible. Mxyzptlk decides to let the two of them go. He lets Superman know that he has almost an hour to catch them before they reach Ruin and give away his identity. That should be plenty of time, but the conclusion, with its countdown, has an ominous feel.
